Duration 7am to 7am.
5010 beeper will triage all patients to either A-Med/ PA service.
Short call starts at 7.00 am and ends at 3 pm. Expect
up to 5 patients.
Long call will start taking patients from 3pm to 4am or after short call has
capped. Expect up to 10 patients.
The long call team would admit no more than 3 patients
between 2am to 4am.
5010 will make every effort to distribute patients
evenly throughout the call period.
Patients coming after 4am will be admitted by PA
Service and re-distributed to the AM short call team by the am 5010 beeper as
appropriate.
Change to policy can be made only in consultation with
the administrator on call.
On Saturday/ Sunday, short call ends at 11.00am.
