Computer Support
All residents are expected to become proficient in the use of computers. Assistance and computers equipped with programs for learning and testing are provided. Two computers with 24-hour access to Medline are available for residents. A dedicated web site (www.sgintmed.com) provides up to date information of departmental events, policies, call schedules and social activities.
The Medical Library
Almost all reference medical material needed for patient management and medical educations are available at the medical libraries of Sinai-Grace Hospital and Wayne State University. A well cataloged collection of medical journals and interlibrary loan facilities are provided.
Audio Visual Services
The full range of AV services needed to review material on Audio Cassette, Video and CDROM is available at the Department of Medicine and the medical libraries. Professional AV support services for preparation of slides, medical photography and poster presentations are provided.
In-Training Examination All residents
(PGY I,II, and III's) are required to participate in the American College of Physicians In-Training Examination. This provides an opportunity to deal with areas of weakness while preparing for the ABIM certifying exam. In addition, a monthly exam is given to all residents rotating in Internal Medicine
