Up Rotation Information Teaching Schedule

General Information: 

Year-3 Medicine Clerkship at Sinai-Grace Hospital

 

1)  Report to the Department of Medicine on the fourth floor of Sinai-Grace Hospital, after your clerkship orientation is completed, at 1:30PM on the day your medicine clerkship begins at Sinai-Grace. Dr. Marc A. Feldman is the coordinator of the WSU Year-3 Medicine Clerkship at Sinai-Grace. He can be reached at pager #1556. Pamela Nelson-Jones is your contact person for most of the day-to-day details of the rotation. She can be reached at 313-966-1728.

2)  Pagers and lockers will be assigned on the first day of your rotation at Sinai-Grace. Your locker room is located on the ground floor of the hospital 5 doors down from the auditorium entrance (the locker room door is not labeled).

3)  Your ward team assignments and call schedule are posted on the Sinai-Grace Website (www.sgintmed.com).

4)  Your teaching seminar and lecture schedules will also be posted on the Sinai-Grace Website. Check the site regularly for changes in the schedules. You can access the site from any computer that has an internet connection (at the hospital or at home). The website has many very useful links. Take sometime and explore the site.

5)  Meal tickets for your call nights will be distributed to you by your ward team resident.

6)  Your call room is located on the fourth floor of the hospital in an area referred to as the Chapel Building. There is a map of the call room area posted on the website.

7)  You should park in the student parking area located at the corner of Lesure and McNichols (Next to the Spike Lawrence). A security courtesy shuttle will be available for student escort to and from the lot. If the Lesure lot becomes full, overflow parking is at the Ardomore lot located at the corner of McNichols and Ardmore. The security courtesy shuttle will be available for student escort to and from the lot.
